Dr. Jonathan Barnes completed his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University where he graduated summa cum laude and then went on to obtain his D.M.D degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Dr.Barnes was awarded the Student Achievement Award in Endodontics by the American Association of Endodontists as well as the Lifelong Learner award. As a recipient of the U.S. Air Force Health Professions Scholarship, he went on to complete a one-year residency in general dentistry (AEGD) at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi and fulfilled his active duty military service at Cannon Air Force Base in eastern New Mexico before moving back home to Arizona to practice general dentistry in Chandler, Arizona. Dr. Barnes knew while in dental school he wanted to pursue advanced training in endodontics and traveled across the country to complete his endodontic residency at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. Dr. Barnes maintains membership in the American Dental Academy Association, American Association of Endodontics, Arizona State Dental Association and is currently board eligible and pursuing board certification with the American Board of Endodontics.

Dr. Barnes was born and raised in the small town of Brea, California. He moved to Arizona in 2003 where he met his wife Kara. Dr. Barnes has four beautiful children and enjoys spending time with his family, mountain bike riding, cooking, fly fishing, and reading historical non-fiction books.
